Unfortunately there are a few bad eggs out there who have no regard for the hard working among us who have used our hard earned cash to purchase our spanking new bike. So ensure you protect yourself against them with the best security you can. The items you need vary depending on where you store your bike. A chain is always recommended and we have plenty to chose from, many of them Thatcham approved which can help lower your insurance too. If your bike is stored in a garage or shed you may want to think about a ground anchor. Disc locks are a great addition to chains as this stops the wheels from turning so the bike can't be pushed or ridden away, however if your vehicle is left outside overnight you may want to think about the ground anchor option as a bike can be lifted if the thief has a van. Many locks have an alarm fitted which is also a great detterent.
