It's that time of year again (although I'm not sure we got a summer this year!) but just because the sunshine has been replaced by rain, sleet and snow, doesn't mean you have to hide your bike away for several months. There are so many items out there now designed to keep you warm, dry and sheltered from the wind whilst on your motorbike or scooter that you can ride it all year round in comfort....and warmth!

An essential item for any two-wheel rider is the leg cover. The Tucano Urbano Termoscud is one of our best selling items as it not only keeps in heat from the bike itself, it protects from the wind, has a fleece thermal interior and is easy to install. The Vespa range does have a dedicted genuine Vespa leg cover for less money, but it is lacking one or two of the features on the Tucano version.



Many of the Tucano covers are now available in silver or blue for those of you who prefer something a little brighter to cheer you up on those cold winter mornings.

If you want to keep your hands warm in winter their are a few options. For something easy, we suggest the Tucano Urbano hand grip covers which slip onto the handlebars and offer full waterproof and windproof protection. Available in a choice of styles for bikes with or without handlebar weights.
Alternatively, the Oxford heated handgrips (fitted electronically to the bike) or hot hands (wrap arounds - easier to install) keep your hands really warm and help you to avoid numb fingers!

Motorbikes and scooters do need that extra bit of protection during the winter months. As well as letting the bike turn over on a morning to warm up (automatic choke approx 3-5 mins, manual choke 5-10 mins) you should keep the bike covered if parked/kept outside.
